About Gymnastics Unlimited
Gymnastics Unlimited, located in Columbus Georgia, is a gymnastics school for children ages 18 months to 18 years old. Established in 1984 by Doug James, Gymnastics Unlimited is committed to providing Columbus and the surrounding areas with a top quality gymnastics program. Coach James is a graduate of Auburn University, and with his degree in Physical Education, he has designed a gymnastics program to fit the needs of all children. Classes at Gymnastics Unlimited are set up to handle basic movement education up to the advanced skills of the competitive gymnast. All of the classes at Gymnastics Unlimited are taught with your child's safety and education in mind. Gymnastics Unlimited works hard everyday to be the best it can be for your child.
Located at 4368 Warm Springs Road in Columbus Georgia, Gymnastics Unlimited’s main building is 20,000+ square feet of gymnastics FUN! The gym is fully equipped with men’s and women’s apparatus. There are multiple pieces of each apparatus, which minimizes any waiting. This equipment includes the Olympic Disciplines for both boys and girls. In addition to the regular equipment, Gymnastics Unlimited has age and size appropriate equipment for a complete and comprehensive movement education program for those under the age of five.

Hot Tots

Ages 18 months to 2 years old, Ratio 10:1 These fun classes have the parent involved in the child’s education and play. This program is a great time for parent/child interaction. This will allow the parent to be directly involved in their child’s development and have a blast playing with their child. Classes will be taught with the main focus on developing the whole child. Activities will enhance all aspects of motor development and healthy growth. For many children, this will be their first movement education experience and their first exposure to a structured class. What better way to get them started than to play with Mom and Dad!
Little Gym

Ages 2-4 years old, Ratio 6:1 The Little Gym program is designed to develop all aspects of motor skill development, in age-appropriate classes. By using special equipment and a quality curriculum, these classes will enhance all aspects of the child’s development. This will include their physical fitness, self-esteem, personal skills and social skills. What we learn as a preschooler is pivotal to our future. These classes will teach the child that learning is fun, and this concept will carry through their whole life.
Gymnastics

Boys/Girls ages 5-18 years old, Ratio 8:1 These classes are for the development of basics through advanced gymnastic skills. These children will be working and learning on all gymnastic apparatus. Skills are taught in a progressive manner to maximize each child’s ability and make the learning process enjoyable. Classes are divided into age and skill levels. At this time, the boys and girls are separated to allow them to work on their respective events. This will include the six Olympic events for boys(Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars and High Bar) and the four Olympic events for girls(Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise). In addition, Gymnastics Unlimited makes use of two different styles of trampolines, training pits, and specially designed equipment.

Tumbling

Boys/Girls ages 5-18 years old, Ratio 8:1 The tumbling classes work on basic through advanced tumbling skills. Gymnastics Unlimited divides the tumbling classes into 3 skill levels to fit each child’s tumbling needs. We teach the tumbling classes in a progressive manner, with everyone’s safety in mind. The instructors are very conscientious about each child’s physical development. Therefore, each teacher instructs along strict guidelines. This ensures children will learn in a methodical manner to progressively build to their highest potential. Tumbling classes are excellent for present or future cheerleaders.
